June 2021 was our big event back after COVID had us hosting webinars for months- and it was certainly a GRAND event! Needless to say, we had over ten different vendors and it was like planning a mini wedding.
In June 2021, we hosted one of our biggest monthly events for the DC Bloggers Chapter of The Blogger Union on the rooftop of District Offices, a co-working space with three different locations (Capitol Hill, Georgetown and Reagan Building) you can book for only $15/day. Also, check them out for conference space, corporate events, holiday parties, etc.!
One big takeaway I learned from this event was, ” Don’t wait for brands to find you for a partnership. Pitch your own ideas to brands and take control of your blog’s monetization by creating new partnership opportunities for yourself.”
THE CARLY CHIC
Kelly from @courtandkelly, their blog is Mimosas & Manhattan, spoke about Pitching and Pricing to Brands, a crowd-favorite topic. She provided so much insight from both the blogger side and industry side as she works with brands on building influencer campaigns. The crowd was stunned at how deep she went, by sharing her prices and what she would charge brands for products. It was eye-opening and let me feeling so motivated!
We had special gift card giveaways for attendee from Nordstrom at Pentagon City and Tanger Outlets, National Harbor!
